I have already weighed in on this topic on this board years ago regarding where Sanders' 1988 season ranks.

I can't believe I only had one post in that thread. Also surprised it only went 4 pages.

His "off" games were better than most running backs "on" games.

Already been posted, Adrian Peterson, MVP season.

Averaged less YPC than Barry, had less total yards and total touchdowns yet his season was better than Barry's?

I said pro level and you brought up Barry Sanders in the pros, I found someone with a better pro season.

2097 is less than 2053?

Barry - 2053, 6.1 average, 11 touchdowns

AP - 6.0 Average, 2097 yards, 12 touchdowns

Same amount of first downs for each in their best years at the pro level.

What part of this do you not understand?

6.1 ypc is more than 6.0 ypc

2358 total yards is more than 2314

14 total TD's is more than 13 total TD's

Everything I stated was true so

Btw, more productive on less touches. 368 total touches for Barry compared to 388 for AP.

Total yards okay.

But he isn't the best rusher in yards, and not the best rusher for touchdowns.

Either way, Barry's college season still isn't better than countless other players that have already been presented.

Hope you are talking about that one season. Barry's worst season as a pro was 1115 yards over a 10 year career and that was because he didn't play in 5 games. Not even the great Jim Brown can say that about himself.

I'll agree there. He's still at the top of that list though. 9.9 TD's per season over a 10 year career.

Anyhow, you slammed his season as not measuring up to AP's, but it exceeded his as a whole, the only season that is arguably better than Barry's is Jim Brown's 1963 season.

I don't think you know what "countless" means, 3 does not equal countless. Your link doesn't even help you, in which it ranks the Tiger Woods 2000 season under Barry's. Not to mention there is the fact that they deemed it so dominant they ranked it up there above all other pro sports seasons other than the 3 above it.

Must say though, that link is full of bullshite talking about how great Kareem was with his 29 ppg average and giving honorable mention to Pistol Pete with his 44.5 ppg average.
