Assuming the NFL team had a preseason to work together. I still think the NFL team wins by 14 points.

I was about to say Bama would win because I thought you said worst 22 NFL players but even the 22 worst NFL starters are pretty damn good.

Can Alabama at least roll a Top college 5 team before we crown them an NFL team?

What would the worst 22 starters look like?

Shawn Lauvao at RG for sure. Usama Young at FS.

I'm thinking Nakamora from the Panthers would be one of the safeties.

Yes.

BUT...

For shits and giggles, how about we determine who the 22 worst starters in the NFL currently are?

This could get fun.

I think at QB it comes down to John Skelton, Matt Cassel, and Brandon "Don't call me Joss" Weedon.

Cam Newton has about the same QB rating as those guys so an argument could be made for him

And we all know he would tear up Alabama all day

People are a bit trigger happy on this particular hypo.

Under the hypothetical presented, Bama would have the more talented team. If you dispute this, be ready to answer the following questions:

1. How many players on Bama's team are likely to be NFL starters
1a. on defense
1b. on offense

The answer to 1a is probably 15. The coach of this hypothetical team would be RETARDED if he declined an offer to trade his defense for Bama's defense straight up.

And, again, before you knee-jerk respond with some mindless drivel about grown men...actually think about the quality of players on both sides. Draw from history and look at past CFB teams with great defenses and then see how many players on those teams weren't merely middling starters in the NFL, but were fricking studs.

Hell, I can think of bad UT teams that had 3-4 GOOD NFL starters on a single side of the ball. Was Jerod Mayo better than the worst NFL starting linebacker when he was a Junior at UT? Well of course he was you fricking dumbasses. He was starting 6 months later and won rookie of the year. Same goes for Eric Berry. Hell, same goes for Denarius Moore (not teh rookie of hte year part, but the way better than worst NfL WR part). And I'm talking about TERRIBLE UT teams.

Anybody who dismisses this hypothetical and says that he NFL team rolls easily needs to stop with the fricking grouptink and actually think abotu the question being asked.

We don't know any of this by watching them against college teams. The transition to the league is night and day.

Everyone was going to be a star on the 2004 USC team...and nope...most of the great college D-line weren't stars or even starters and the receivers and skill players.

You never know how people translate to the Pros.
