Worst NFL starters win by 40
And now we have proof that Bama would win. Thanks as always Verlander.

People are a bit trigger happy on this particular hypo.
Under the hypothetical presented, Bama would have the more talented team. If you dispute this, be ready to answer the following questions:
1. How many players on Bama's team are likely to be NFL starters
1a. on defense
1b. on offense
The answer to 1a is probably 15. The coach of this hypothetical team would be RETARDED if he declined an offer to trade his defense for Bama's defense straight up.
And, again, before you knee-jerk respond with some mindless drivel about grown men...actually think about the quality of players on both sides. Draw from history and look at past CFB teams with great defenses and then see how many players on those teams weren't merely middling starters in the NFL, but were fricking studs.
Hell, I can think of bad UT teams that had 3-4 GOOD NFL starters on a single side of the ball. Was Jerod Mayo better than the worst NFL starting linebacker when he was a Junior at UT? Well of course he was you fricking dumbasses? He was starting 6 months later and won rookie of the year. Same goes for Eric Berry. Hell, same goes for Denarius Moore. And I'm talking about TERRIBLE UT teams.
Anybody who dismisses this hypothetical and says that he NFL team rolls easily needs to stop with the fricking grouptink and actually think abotu the question being asked.
So you're saying you'd take Bama's D right now over a defense made up the worst STARTERS in the NFL? Fo realz?
Not to mention that the worst NFL offensive players coached by Sean Payton would work Nick and he defense silly. Bama doesn't have the horses to defend a wide open NFL offense man.

We don't know any of this by watching them against college teams. The transition to the league is night and day.
Everyone was going to be a star on the 2004 USC team...and nope...most of the great college D-line weren't stars or even starters and the receivers and skill players.
You never know how people translate to the Pros.
Hell, for that matter, name one Bama player making an impact in the NFL right now.

Bama would have a shot at the worst 22 NFL starters.
Think about it.
Many of the guys on Alabama's team are going to play in the NFL.
Many of those guys will be starters.
And some of their players will be better than the "worst starters" in the NFL.
Some might even be stars.
They may be able to compete.

So if LSU wins can they beat an NFL team?

Carlton, you're a good poster.....I can't believe some of y'all are even debating this or considering Bama.
Alabama doesn't have 22 nfl starters on their entire roster. They probably don't even have 22 guys who will play in the nfl for a couple years. Even if you take Alabama's current team, let them workout, gameplan, grow stronger/better for the next 7 years, they'd still get blown out

No they don't. I don't think 2001 Miami even had 22 nfl starters. Has any team ever had 22 nfl starters at one time??

What do you mean you never know? Look to teams from the past 10 years or so. You think there haven't been CFB defenses that had 11+ NFL starters on their 2-deep roster?
Hint: there have been plenty.

Do they need to?
What defense is better:
(a) the worst 11 starters in the NfL, or
(b) 5 pro bowlers, 4 above average players, adn 2 guys that arent' good enough to start on another team
Which defense would you choose?

Weeden is 33rd in the league in DYAR and 32nd in DVOA. His rating from ESPN is 33rd in the league. His traditional rating is 70.8, which puts him about 32nd in the league. The only starting QB with a lower completion percentage than him is Mark fricking Sanchez.
So please, enlighten me about how Weeden isn't in the conversation for worst starting QB.

Someone posted in the other thread that Bama put 28 players in the league OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS.
Now, not all of those guys are starters. So do people think that this current Bama team, which many believe is NOT as good as previous Bama teams, has more NFL quality players and thus more starters than what's currently out there?
WTF?
