This is for the dude who started a daily Astros thread for a Fox Sports Houston next-day game replay during summer 2008.

Question...are we the only team to win an AL and an NL pennant?

Have to be, I think it was only us and the brewers who had been to both division series.

Haven’t read every page so don’t know if it’s been said yet. Huge kudos to our community leaders who have led our DATs all year and especially to those DAT’ers that carried us through to the WORLD SERIES!!!

Ryno, we’ll see you in Cincinnati. Keep us going.

Kind of despicable that Verlander stole Rynos mvp.

The Astros bandwagon fans are out in full force on my Facebook. I’m so excited it won’t aggravate me like normal. Haha

Ken Rosenthal-

quote:

Joe Girardi waited inside an office in #Astros’ clubhouse to congratulate A.J. Hinch. “I know it’s your first time through. Go win it all.”

quote:

Hinch was deeply touched by Girardi’s gesture, called it one of classiest things he has seen from one manager to another, a lesson for him.

Gonna happen with any team that has success especially with such a likable roster...might as well embrace it

I’ll take winning the pennant with bandwagon fans cheering next to me over being the #1 ‘true fan’ of a 100 loss team any day

Exactly like 2005. We even started watching games during school. I was completely shocked but extremely annoyed at the same time.

They were actually asking crane earlier about fan attendance where this season it went from "We can't give tickets away!" To standing room only come playoffs.

Typical Houston fans unless it's the beloved Texans

Rockets get it worst of all. Even in the playoffs fans show up 2nd quarter in the lower bowl.

Good thing is that winning will build younger fan bases up and hopefully the loyalty will rise more. Houston is a very finicky city when it comes to professional sports but they've shown they're willing to show if there's winning involved.

We’ll need Ryno to start an off day thread in the morning where we can start discussion on what lids ahead

Curious as to how we approach the WS roster considering all of our games won’t have a DH
