Really I blame management, I hate the idea of tanking and think it is bad for the sport

Honestly that was the only way to go, we didn’t have Chapman’s and Millers to sell off to get good prospects. It was Pence, Wandy Rodriguez, Oswalt, Michael Borne, Etc

It’s been a rough go of it, but Crane/Luhnow has a plan and they’ve executed it, with some bumps in the road along the way

I enjoy the Yankees as well but at the end of the day it is baseball and it does not impact my everyday life

Pence, Oswalt, and Bourn should have given good prospects, those players were in their primes at the time....

I really think the Astros plan was just to tank and when they traded those players they were not worried about getting quality as much as getting rid

I mean I'm not gonna kill my self over it but I do love my teams. Especially with how much time I've invested and seeing these players grow. Already ready for spring training to get here

You wouldn't know baseball if it flicked you in the nut sack.

This is the DAT son. Get lost.

Eh guess I've separated being a fan and having it impact me emotionally, I know in the past I use to get pissed and I put a hole in the wall after the 2001 series. I can't see myself ever doing that or letting a game impact me the same again

Pence trade was a great haul at the time. Singleton didn't work out but Cosart was great. I thought that trade marked the beginning of the new era of Astros baseball.

i dont get upset over losses. but i do revel in the victories. this was special though. i remember back in 2011 sitting in a half empty dodger stadium as the team had no high end prospects and the team was toiling away at an 80-82 season and just thinking that i will never see the dodgers in the world series at any point in time in my life. that was a lot to get over last week

Pence, maybe, Oswalt never pitched more than 130 innings, and only played for 3 more seasons after, he was done.

Bourne was a pretty meh player. Nothing on the level the Yankees were selling

When the Astros traded him he was only 32, who knew he would break down the way he did, Bourn was 28 coming off a AS/GG season... he was worth something
