Army I could understand, but the other 3 are in conferences that aren't Power 5. Are they going to count Boise St & BYU?

I realize that Cincy is on Michigan, Ohio St, & Nebraska's schedules coming up, are they really not going to play any P5 schools those years?

The Academies are clearly there as a PC move.

I don't have a problem with the others if they are based on those RPI elements or what not.

However, scheduling those other teams when they are "good" is a great loophole. The odds those types of programs will be remotely decent 5 years later are very remote since their coaches bail at the first chance they get.

why not just say the entire AAC counts then?

why in the world should shitty arse Army count but not Air Force? Why count Cincy, UConn and Navy but not Houston, Temple, SMU, Tulsa, Memphis, UCF, USF etc?

Why? Army is consistently one of the worst teams in all of FBS.

If they count everyone should count.

I'd imagine the committee would see right through the bullshite of scheduling Army or Cincy as a P5 school.

But then again, it's the NCAA so....

There's a lot of history with these schools, sans UConn. It makes sense. To say Navy and Cincinnati are historically the same as Troy or ULM is absurd

shite, there is even a huge gulf between Cincy and Army.

Army 100% should not count if other schools are going to get left out.

Army is on the level of Idaho, New Mexico State, Eastern Michigan and UMass.

In the last 5 seasons they have lost to schools like Yale, Fordham, Stony Brook. Counting them as a P5 is a complete joke.

Ohio State plays Oklahoma the year they play Army (at West Point) and TCU the year they play Cincinnati.

Because Army isn't in a conference. The SEC & ACC count all independents (Notre Dame, Army, BYU)

Crafty move by the NCAA to boost the Big Ten's strength of schedule.

I understand that its easier to schedule them due to being independent. Who cares? That doesn't change the fact they are not deserving of being counted as a P5 in any way, shape, or form. Its easier to set up games with FCS schools than it is FBS schools too. Should Montana be added to the P5 list as well? Hell, they are a much better program than Army so why not?

I also am just as opposed to the SEC and ACC counting Army while not counting other schools in G5 conferences.

It's a complete load of crap for a conference to say they have a rule that requires its members to schedule P5 competition (which is a BS designation to begin with) and then all the sudden say Army of all schools counts as a P5 school.

I assume this is just for games already on the books and not going forward.

It's the 2nd year for Army's new coach. Lol. I don't think he will bail within five years.

I was at West Point last year during the summer months; he's doing everything in his power to turn the program around. Everyone I talked to there were happy with the changes he was implementing.

So former BCS bowl participants and former BIg East conference teams can't count as P5? Cincy is basically Louisville

Gotta think that if they are accepting those teams then the Fighting Mormons of BYU should count towards P5 scheduling as well.

It looks like somebody has no idea about what strength of schedule is or how it's calculated.
