The Panthers have by far the highest winning percentage among NFC South teams.

Record

Carolina 172-179-1, .490 winning percentage
New Orleans 338-427-5, .442 winning percentage
Atlanta 341-437-6, .439 winning percentage
Tampa Bay 250-393-1, .389 winning percentage

The Panthers have the most playoff wins despite the other three franchises having a 20-30 year head start on them.

Playoff Record

Carolina 9-7
Atlanta 8-12
New Orleans 7-9
Tampa Bay 6-9

As of this moment, the Panthers are also the only NFC South franchise with multiple Super Bowl appearances. It's impressive how much more the Panthers have been able to accomplish in a shorter period of time than their other NFC South counterparts.

Super bowl victories trump everything bro. You could have a 90% win percentage but if you don't have the lombardi it doesn't mean shite.

Lack of a Super Bowl win hurts their case for that but interesting thread.

They need to win a Super Bowl, but they are on a much better pace with success than the other shite franchises they share a division with.

These are the New Orleans Saints "glory days" and they've missed the playoffs 3 years in a row. They will go back to bottom dwellers for sure without Drew Brees.

Don't you think they would rather have a SB win?

Sure. But I wouldn't trade the super bowl for the panthers history. The saints being so bad throughout most of my life made the super bowl even more amazing.

Sine 2002:

Super Bowl Wins:
New Orleans-1
Tampa Bay-1
Carolina-0
Atlanta-0

Super Bowl Appearances:
Carolina-2
New Orleans-1
Tampa Bay-1

Conference Championship Appearances:
Carolina-3
Atlanta-3
New Orleans-2
Tampa Bay-1

Division Championships:
Carolina-5
Atlanta-4
New Orleans-3
Tampa Bay-3

Playoff Appearances:
Atlanta-7
Carolina-6
New Orleans-5
Tampa Bay-3

A Super Bowl pretty much trumps everything, so Id have New Orleans at #1. Tampa Should be #2, but they've really been dog shite since they wont the Super Bowl. Carolina would probably barely edge out Atlanta, but an Atlanta win today pushes them past Carolina.

Atlanta win Super Bowl:
1.Atlanta
2.New Orleans
3.Tampa Bay
4.Carolina

Atlanta loses Super Bowl:
1.New Orleans
2.Tampa Bay
3.Atlanta
4.Carolina

Atlanta loses today:
1.New Orleans
2.Tampa Bay
3.Carolina
4.Atlanta

The rest of the NFC South didn't have the benefit of free agency when they became franchises either. Maybe you should do a comparison 1995 on up.

Might want to check again.
