Are Fox, CBS, & NBC the ones blocking Sunday Ticket from going to all carriers?

I know you can get a streaming package if you are unable to get a satellite at your address. I just want to be able to watch Saints games a clear stream.

NFL has a contract with Direct TV. It was just extended not long ago.

Not sure of the specifics.

I'm hoping this Yahoo stream helps the NFL see the light. the Sunday ticket deal makes them a lot of money but I think I they could make a TON more selling games a-la-carte PPV style, either on TV (all platforms) or just via streaming

Direct TV paid a lot of money for exclusive rights to Sunday Ticket.

I don't understand how direct tv is making money because they give away sunday ticket for free or discounted price if you complain enough.

That is not the norm, first of all. Secondly, it is also an incentive to get people to switch to DirecTV for their cable in general. Of course now they offer the ability to just buy Sunday Ticket a la carte. So I can only assume they think they will make more money that way.

I don't see why the aren't trying to hit the cord cutters such as myself with a streaming only option. I would pay a nice amount just to be able to stream only Saints games.

It's bullshite. I have one option where I live (Cox Cable) and every Sunday I get excited to watch the Falcons play and they always end up show their goddamn Saints.

One thing I fricking hate about the NFL. I don;t want to watch the shitty Saints game. I want to watch the Falcons play

They don't care about making individual customers pay as much as they care about their cash cow: Sports Bars. And when it goes to cable, out of town fans stop going to sports bars and pool their money and start watching the games together at somebody's house. Sports bars don't do that and their establishments would literally be empty on Sunday afternoons, so they're good forking out cash and keeping the status quo.

because DirecTV wants you to buy DirecTV

the NFL doesn't give one frick as long as their bottom line is met, which DirecTV is doing

Same here. Except I have to watch the shitty Falcons football when good games are being played. I cannot stand seeing the Falcons every f'n week simply because they are in the adjacent state? Who f'n cares they are close, i want to see good football.
