when did i say this? I said that USC views us equally with ND and it's pretty obvious for anyone who actually spends any time in LA or actually understands both USCs and UCLAs programs

I lived out there for a good while, have visited the region many times, and no, that's just not true. Are you talking about alumni and so forth or just Raider bandwagoners?

as did i, and it is. But whatever man, really isn't that big of a deal

I mean if you forced them to make an actual list then yea, ND would probably come out on top but in actuality, it's pretty equal

Actually, nothing. I kind of like UCLA, mostly because they annoy the shite out of SC.

But to pretend that UCLA is SC's primary rival is the height of absurdity. It'd be like an MSU fan suggesting that they are Michigan's biggest rival.

That's pretty much it.

As an 'SC alum I can tell you that most Trojans would rather beat ND than the gutty lil bruins.

Beaver has said it multiple times on the rant. This Ole miss poster has said he would stop supporting Ole miss if the school stopped playing LSU or MSU to put itself in a better situation

What exactly did beaver say because I find it unlikely he would rather beat Alabama than win a NC.

You also have to take into account most of us (college fans) may never get to see their team win a NC in their lifetime. It is always a tantalizing thought that "next year may be the year" but when it comes down to it, the ole miss guy said that because he is not expecting a NC run and playing random schools instead of his hated rivals would take a ton of the fun out of every season. I am positive he would be fine losing the egg bowl if ole miss ended up winning a NC.

something about how he wouldn't be able to enjoy the college football season under any circumstance without auburns rivalry games

all I know is IDGAF about all the reasons A&M/Texas died. I still want to play those fricks and kick their teeth in.

then again, I'm the type that still wants to be in the SWC.

When there where only a hand full of teams aired on TV, rivals mattered. Now with almost every game televised, a lot more teams that are in contention the fans are watching their teams play not Alabama vs Tennessee.

They matter to me to the point that I actively root for Tulane to someday get into a P5 conference (even though it would be of no benefit to LSU) so that we can play them again on rivalry week.

I like the UGA/GTech, SC/Clemson, Florida/FSU, etc. games and i wish we had one. Be a hell of a lot better than this forced crap with A&M.

Congratulations, Mr. TwoTeams.

This thread has almost convinced me that we need to play Texas again. Oh, and by "we," I mean the Texas Aggies, not any other team I might have worn a t-shirt for as a child.

Write an article about college rivalries and interview a bunch of teams that don't have a real rivalry. Great journalism.

I hope this guy tackles ISIS next and goes to Scandanavia for the most cutting edge info.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but we're using Baylor, TCU, and the rest of the dysfunctional Big 12 to gauge rivalries?
