So i guess the next time a player Tebows after scoring a touchdown he should be immediately ejected, expelled, and then shot to make the atheists happy.....

How many charitable events and gatherings that include teaching strong morals are there around the country that involve Atheist and Muslims?

That has nothing to do with this. Quit acting like this is bigger than it is.
Public University employees pushing religion = not ok

Tebow has never been the employee of a public institution.
And if Dabo wanted to pray on the sideline every time they scored, no one would have a problem with it.

The players could have chosen to play at another school without a religious coach if they wanted to.

the biggest issue for someone who is a member of a minority religion or an atheist is it puts them in the awkward position of having to discuss their faith with a larger majority who are probably not that open to different points of view. As someone who came from a Christian background but eventually became comfortable self identifying as an atheist to the people I trust most I just avoid this type of stuff with people I don't trust or don't know that well.
Why? It is just easier. You end up having to deal with all sorts of stupid questions and assumptions (ranging from you must be a devil worshipper, to a muslim, to you should really be converted). I don't have a problem discussing my views with people I know and respect and will be respectful of my right to disagree but I just don't see the return on having to reveal my religious points of view to a bunch of people who don't have respect or experience respecting anything other than what they are already familiar with.

First off. If you think this is something new or that Clemson is the only football program doing this you are sadly mistaken and very naive. During my freshman year i played football(At a d2 School) and nothing was different then whats described here. Im highly positive that during initial meetings he told his players of his values, and that hes a christian man. You have a CHOICE. Nobody is forcing you to play
So i wonder what is the thing that scares people most. They likely pray as a team before and after practice. If its not your belief, you can just ignore. I know when we would say the lords prayer after every team. There were two muslims who would notparticipate. They both were also starters, they were just as part of the team as anyone else, not ostracized in anyway. There were also bible studies the team chaplain would set up, if you were interested, you could go see him. If you wanted a bible he would gladly get you one. They were not pushy or just trying to stuff the big bag christianity down anyones throats as everyone thinks. And all of this has no say on your playing time. If me being a christian actually mattered when it came to football, on my team i would have been a starter instead of a scout team player who sometimes were the ball boy on home games

Why is this so difficult for some people to understand?

I dont. I said before I would like this group to go after UGA and Auburn too. Him using religion in his program is just a recruiting ploy.

Probably the disregard for the constitution

I think people get it fine, they just like making the argument seem like its religious persecution.

If a player doesn't participate and if there are repercussions for that, then there is a problem.
Otherwise I see nothing wrong with it, as long as another coach of another faith were allowed to do the same if in that position.

It voluntary, just like all the offseason workouts are.

Also, didn't Deadspin report that Dabo used a cold pool for baptism of Sammy Watkins?
