The Angels have hired Ron Washington as their next manager, the team announced on Wednesday.

Washington, 71, has spent the past seven seasons as the Braves' third-base coach, helping them win the World Series in 2021, and he previously managed the Rangers from 2007-14, going 664-611 and winning the AL pennant in back-to-back seasons in 2010 and '11.

It's the Angels so not going to matter anyway.

Glad to see a winner from the Rangers get another shot. Everyone likes Ron. I met him in Nola once at a baseball event, class act.

The last time a former Ranger/drug user went to SoCal it didn't work too well (Josh Hamilton). They paid the Rangers to take him back.

I hope it goes well for Coke Kitty this time (except against Texas of course).
