If Duke and Kentucky meet this year, it will be a clash of 2 college basketball giants. I was wondering how the all time greats at these 2 prestigious programs would fare.

This is for players after 1990. I don't to use old players whom some on here may not know them. UK team was a bit tricky to assemble since there's a lot of nba talent but they only played one year. Shooting guard was hard to choose.

Duke
G Jason Williams
G JJ Reddick
F Grant Hill
F Shane Battier
C Christian Laettner

UK
G John Wall
G Tony Delk/Taysom Prince
F Jamal Mashburn
F Antoine Walker
C Anthony Davis

UF starting 5 beats both

Jason Williams
Bradley Beal
Corey Brewer/Chandler Parsons/Mike Miller
Al Horford/Udonis Haslem
Joakim Noah/David Lee

That Duke team is fricking stacked. Kentucky is too but I'm pretty sure four of the Duke players you listed won player of the year awards and Grant Hill is, well, Grant Hill.

I think that team would mesh extremely well in a college game. Kentucky would dominate in an NBA game though imo

I would go with Kyrie, Redick, Hill, Laettner, and Brand on a post-1990 team. For UK, I would go with Wall, Knight (?), Walker, Mashburn, and Davis.

Okafor and Cousins would come off the bench as would Parker, Hurley, Battier, Patterson, Gilchrist, Bledsoe, Etc.

No way you can put him in over Jason Williams. Was thinking Brand over Battier though. Sheldon Williams could be in there as well.

Probably couldn't keep it within 15 with either of those teams.

"All time" was to create attention. "After 1990" was explained. Most put Dan Issel as the greatest wildcat. Some here might not know him.

Who wants to use the headline "all post 90s duke team vs Kentucky team"?

Rex Chapman deserves to be on that team....and Dukes team probably looks like this-

Kyrie
Jason Williams (it's not Jayson Williams as some on the MSB have been posting lately)
Grant Hill
Elton Brand
Christian

...although taking off the tourney's greatest PG is a travesty.

based on college productivity, duke probably wins easily. jason williams is the most dominant non big man I've ever seen in college. even a guy like will avery was better than every kentucky point guard except john wall, and even during college not much separates wall and avery. nobody has even mentioned corey maggette.

tony delk or ron mercer probably need to be on the kentucky team.

This is so hard to do because we only saw most of the Kentucky guys for one season. Plus a couple of key guys from Duke had injury issues like JWill, Grant Hill, and now Jabari tore his ACL this season. We barely ever got to see Kyrie in college.

All I know is Kentucky's frontline depth would be absurd just on Cal's guys: Anthony Davis, Boogie Cousins, Nerlens Noel, Terrence Jones, Patrick Patterson, Julius Randle, Karl Towns, and WCS.

Eric Bledsoe, Rondo, and Knight aren't bad options at PG either.

Wayne Turner played in 3 straight championship games

None were all that great in college... if we're basing this on a college production standpoint.

A better debate would be which school's current players in the NBA would make the best team. For example, Wake Forest...

C.Paul
J. Teague
A. Aminu
J. Johnson
T. Duncan

Makes it more difficult and you end up shoe horning in lesser players to make a full team..
