I could have missed something here, but the fact that I didn't see Neshek warming in the pen is encouraging.

Also, I heard on the radio that Fiers was warming around the 5th, so we are definitely prepared to use him if necessary. Although, it's probably unlikely we do since it's 7 game series from here on out, if we get there.

I didn't see a throat slash per se.

He did some kind of Chopping thing to the outside of his neck, I guess that is considered a throat slash? IDK?

We can certainly use Fiers next game. In fact, I bet we see him first out of the pen if Jabroni doesn't go 7 innings.

I think Kazmir would start Game 1 of the ALCS regardless of whether we use Keuchel in KC. Dallas could throw 20 or less pitches and start Saturday without a problem. Or LMJ goes in Game 2 to give more rest to Kid.

Also, if Cueto is off early, they will go to Young. We need to be ready for that.

Yeah, good point. Forgot that Game 1 would be so soon, so you would almost have to go with that. And I think Kid is a no-brainer for Saturday for Game 2.

Well, if you were to win Game 1, you could hold Dallas back to start Game 3 at home. Not sure AJ would wait to name a Game 2 starter in that scenario.

They had this on the screen in the middle of one of the innings. Thought it was hilarious

According to Matt Thomas...

Royals came back from 4 runs down in the 8th inning vs. the A's last year (where one of the pitchers was Luke Gregerson). Took their in from there to Game 7 of the World Series

Astros OBP in October:

Rasmus, C 0.667
Marisnick, J 0.429
Carter, C 0.471
Correa, C 0.364
Gomez, C 0.333
Springer, G 0.364
Altuve, J 0.217
Gattis, E 0.150
Valbuena, L 0.333
Castro, J 0.188
Gonzalez, M 0.000
Lowrie, J 0.000
Tucker, P 0.500
Conger, H -
Villar, J -

Batting averages for certain players:
Gattis: .150 (0 walks - shocker)
Altuve: .182
Castro: .071
Valbuena: .143

Basically 4 of the starting hitters are in the tank right now; it's amazing given that and our bullpen that we made it to game 5.

I got up from my desk and left my classroom at 2:56 to go to my duty post. Last three plays I witnessed: Correa two run homer, Rasmus solo homer, Gattis single, one out. I'm feeling good.

After duty, I head to football practice and anxiously check my phone. 6-3, bases loaded, nobody out. Ten minutes later I quickly check my phone again. 6-6, one out, bases still loaded. My guts fell out on the ground. Decide not to check again until after practice. My fears were confirmed.

I saw where you recalled the Mets in '86.

Were you around for the Phils in '80?

Drellich is tweeting all of the pitch location for the singles Harris gave up. All of them belt high, down the middle besides Escobar's, he reached for one down and away and poked it into RF

Was a little too young but I know of that pain, too. But I vividly remember how we blew leads in games not pitched by Great Scott.

'80 was worse.

I remember 1980. It's when this franchise taught me to take a punch in the guts.

I'm not even mad. Throw your best reliever out there and they chip away with single after single. Hats off to the Royals. Astros have a great shot to win Wed.

Any of those games have nothing to do with what happened today

No, but it's a cumulative effect, Prom. I think that's the point. What time is game 5?
