It was..still scarred to this day. However, it cemented Astros fandom in my blood.

Back from MMP. Brutal loss. In the 7th after the homers the place was absolutely rocking. Loudest I've ever heard it. That top of the 8th was the most agonizing half innings I've ever seen in person. Wow. That one hurt.

These guys are resilient but that one will be tough to recover from. Jabroni gonna have to ball out on Wed.

Royals players were upset about LMJ doing a throat slash

I bet they’re also mad about 21 year old Correa looking at his 2nd HR of the game and pointing at Springer on the bench. I mean, Christ on a cracker, they’re barely old enough to drink, getting mad about that is petty.

@HSTPodcast: To #Astros fans Was in clubhouse after gm Guys weren't deflated, depressed or devastated They were very focused, determined & ready for Gm 5

Now that my melt had worn off, I'm feeling decent about the game. Hopefully the guys will learn from this and not take their foot of the throat this time.

ETA: none of them will admit it, but I think there was definitely a relaxation that led to the poor performance from the 8th on

Agreed. I think they got a bit relaxed. Even though it went off Sipp, that is not a ball Carlos misses. Even if they only get the 1 out there, it's a different 8th. Much like I thought Yost kept his guy in a batter or two too long in the 7th, I thought Hinch let Harris pitch to one or two too many in the 8th. Hell, I wonder what LMJ does if he isn't pulled after the HBP.

I agree with the decision to pull LMJ.

But Hinch should have immediately pulled Harris after the first 2 singles. It's no time to frick around being 6 outs away from the ALCS.

He had his full bevy of relievers at that point, no reason not to use them to get out of the inning after first 2 guys reached.

Why haven't we seen Mike Fiers or Scott Feldman in a relief role?

Also, if McHugh goes six or seven and the Stros are ahead, do we bring in Keuchel to preserve the lead?

Feldman isn't on the roster. You can argue in hindsight they should have put Fiers in for Lance or for Harris for the seventh. It's easy to say that now though

No question we will see Keuchel out of the pen in a close game IMO

Fiers has warmed up but not been used. Feldman is out for the season.

I think he has an inning in him, yes.

Exactly. Game 4 is gone. I think any of us would have taken a shot to win it in 5, on Thursday night. These guys will be ready tomorrow night
