LaMarcus Aldridge has already informed the Portland Trail Blazers that he plans to sign elsewhere, according to a Western Conference executive.

The Blazers traded away Nicolas Batum on the eve of the draft in what appeared to be "a rebuilding move."

ESPN's Chris Broussard cited a source saying Aldridge was 99.9 percent certain of leaving the Blazers.

Aldridge will consider the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks.

Knicks or Hawks please and thank you.

Well that improves the Pels chances of returning to the playoffs.

That dude owns us.

He can stay in the division and drop 30/10 at least 4x per year.

Just a ploy. Guy is a Rockets lock and Durant will join them all next year to form the super best friends team juggernaut extravaganza.

He going to the Spurs. Cavs gonna get splitter and patty mills for 1st round pick and Haywood. Spurs will then cut Haywood, clearing up 12.4 mill in cap space. Booooooom

It's happening.

Yeah, Knicks would be by far the best for the rest of the league. They'll have a stud in LMA, a really good but declining Melo, and they'll frick up the rest of their team.

It still baffles me that players want to go to big markets, regardless of how fricked up the teams are. Is an extra ~$5m (maybe) in additional endorsement money worth playing for a shite team when you're making $150m+ throughout your career?

ETA: He'd probably be losing money overall going to any other team, regardless of market.

You don't have to be a league insider to know Dwight Howard will never win a championship...makes it hard to attract players.

I feel for Portland fans, they had such a bright and upcoming team.

On another note, credit to Aldridge for playing through that hand injury rather than taking the easy way out and protecting his free agent stock.

Llull
Harden
Durant
Aldridge
Howard

Should be good for a 2nd round exit IMO.
