They can keep both if they choose to.
yea but it's the player's decision. One of them will end up in LA.

Well yeah. A lot of teams would be contenders if they could have players like Iggy to come off the bench. Much easier said than done.
Even guys like Livingston Speights, David zLee were much better than what POR had coming off of the bench.

Well exactly. So how long is that really going to take to build what GS already has, if it ever happens? Years I estimate. By then Aldridge will have declined significantly.

Amassing players is one thing but getting players that close the gap when you're up against the cap is a lot more difficult because others teams are improving as well.

That applies to pretty much every team in the NBA. Being this year's GSW is an unrealistic goal. You don't have to be that good as the Warriors are going to lose guys in FA and are unlikely to have so few injuries in the future.

Why do the Cavs want Splitter? They already have a overly crowded front court.

Cavs only have 1 Center and 3 PFs. Would be nice to have a back up for Mozgov. Hopefully they trade Andy or don't resign TT.

Patty Mills backing up Kyrie is pretty nice as well.

I'm not saying the Cavs need Splitter but the Spurs match up well with the need for a contract like the Haywood one and the only pieces they have to offer are Splitter and Mills.

It's not like GS had been contenders the last few years either. Their talent just got better. Much of GS was there last year and they weren't even a thought to be contenders.
