I agree, there have been several better Bama teams in recent years IMHO, it's just that the SEC is really down compared to the recent past.

I mean Florida won the east with a putrid offense and they got blown out by Arkansas.

I'd obviously pick Bama, I just think Clemson is the only team that can sort of hang with them. UW and OSU would get destroyed. They do not match up well with Bama.

I disagree... The Buckeyes have A real good shot.. A mobile QB always gives Bama fits............

Washington just doesn't have enough depth to compete with Bama......

Texas still hasn't recovered and may never recover from that beat down in the natty.

Barrett is a mediocre passer, and I doubt he'll be running around Bamas defense. The RT position is a major concern. If Price plays he like he played yesterday, it would be a slaughter.

Ohio State has been underwhelming for the most part, but they have Urban Meyer and a month to prepare. They're a really young team though, I expect them to win it all next year.
Same goes for Washington, they peaked a year early. If they beat Colorado and get that playoff game experience out of the way this year, they could make some noise.
USC could make some noise next year too. I think next year will be great or CFB

Eh I think OSU is one of the few teams that could give them a game. They're young and make mistakes, but a talented and scrappy team with a talented head coach that's been there before.

Unfortunately I just haven't seen a team this year that's better than Bama. They would destroy UW, Wisky, or Penn State. Clemson is probably the one most ready built to play them close but they just haven't looked too great at times.

Bama is playing so many freshman and sophomore. They don't execute consistently on offense.

They start a 18 yo QB, True Freshman right tackle, sophomore RG, sophomore LG. 2 sophomore RBs and a 2 true freshman RBs, sophomore Wr in Ridley.

Alabama has a really young offense. The only SR is OJ Howard.

The QB just turned 18 3 months ago. He was born in 98 and they are still going to win it all.

Clemson is the only team that can beat them. tOSU can't go vertical and Miller can't put the ball in windows. The way to beat Bama is to match them up front and have a baller QB who can throw deep, throw into tight windows and poses at least the threat of running.

This was supposed to be a "down" year for Bama too.

It technically is. Our D is superb and will drop off slightly next year. Not enough to lose multiple games but slightly. However our O will be significantly better next year. We are crazy young all over that side of the ball. We are going to be a better team next year.

After the Clemson game most assumed Bama would take a step back after the draft. It was looking like 13 or 14 players would go between the JR and SR classes, but the only JR that declared was Ashawn Robinson.

Tim Williams, Ruben Foster, Jonathon Allen, OJ Howard, Ryan Anderson, and Eddie Jackson all decided to forego the draft and return to school.

Immediately most knew the defense would be great again.

Everyone assumed Blake Barrett would be the QB and the Bama WRs would shine. Henry was gone and this was the first time Bama had no stud incumbent RB. The Bama WRs are extremely talented and Barnett was Kiffin's hand picked guy.

Hurts won the job and the entire offensive scheme shifted to accommodate his strengths and to limit his liabilities. It's still a work in progress at this point.

Bama does have one of the best defenses of all time. Their offense is good but not great. This is a really good team.

The offense is better than what people are giving it credit for. Its just different than what they are used to seeing. The execution isn't always great, but there are so many explosive players that someone always makes a play.

It's on pace to be one of the best Bama offenses of all-time as far as production and points. It's just execution isn't as crisp as you'd like to see.

Any of the top 4 could beat Bama if they are turnover prone and have a game with 3 quarters of mediocre offensive play. Somehow I think Hurts will be much better at passing and such by the time the playoff starts. Would love to see a rematch of last year's final game

like some many have stated before, the defense is vastly superior to 2014's. In 2014 we had fat Trey Depreist, an over weight Ragland, fricking Xavier Dickson and Devall, along with DJ fricking Pettway playing DT. Add to the fact that we don't have that passive pussy Kirby as DC. Nick has figured how to slow down the HUNH with a deep, talented front 7.

Unfortunately those teams are basically non-existent. I do agree that Clemson is the only team that I could see playing Bama close. Ohio State doesn't impress me. You gotta throw the ball to beat Bama and Ohio State doesn't throw the ball well. You don't just show up and run the ball all over Bama.
