I don't know why you are bringing up Lebron to me, other than you are you, although I will give you credit by trying to get into the good graces of Pels fans, subtly referring to the team as "we" lately, lol.

Statistically, Harden has been the best defender in the league this year so I don't get what Lebron being lazy last year has to do with Harden this year. That gif is from a game that he won single handedly on both ends of the floor.

It would be like showing a clip of randy moss making a poor block during a game where his team won and he had 200 yards receiving.

You also literally said this:

Not really anything wrong with what he did

I'll chalk that one up to a victory on my end. Thanks for playing.

Why would Ariza mind? Harden was making the right play, he just didn't execute.

Deflect deflect deflect, so obvious to see through your post, you gotta try harder.

There's a reason you're avoiding talking about the actual play, it's telling. I hope you realize that.

I understand doing this if you don't have a chance of getting back and playing defense but he could've hustled back and potentially stopped the fast break. It's just laziness.

He didn't try to execute.

How hard did he try? How much effort do YOU think he gave on that play that he didn't do anything wrong?

Meh, that gif itself is only thread worthy because people dislike the Rockets around here. I'm not "defending" the play, I'm saying it didn't matter. You can find stuff like that in every game.

So you deflect by saying that I am deflecting? Again, I was responding to you bringing up Lebron to me and didn't deflect at all. You are really trying too hard.

If Harden would have gotten the foul then yes, it would have been fine. Although I don't think it would've been the "right" play. He had ample time to get back and defend the point.

Why didn't he try and take a charge instead of standing there flat-footed?

mabye because his team has 3 starters out and didn't need to risk losing a 4th over 2 points in Q1? just maybe

It's very difficult to take a charge like that in the open court, and refs are also reluctant to call charges in those situations.

It's not really on player's minds in that situation.

I never said it was easy, and the intent was to foul anyway. Feebly attempting to commit a reach-in foul as the guy blows past him isn't the "right" play, no matter how you spin it.

You have no idea what was "on his mind" at the time.
