So start a thread and talk about Harden's D compared to Lebron's D this year.

This thread about that gif. You not talking about and deflecting from kinda shows your thoughts on the effort displayed in the gif, FWIW.

You don't know how to play basketball apparently. Somebody is supposed to pick up the ball on a fast break... which is what Harden did
Nah, this isn't real life right now.

Except this wasn't one of those plays
Except it was, he gave zero effort on the play.

You don't have to blindly defend everything, you can admit a mistake, and there's zero way to defend this one.

You said Harden picked up the ball on the fast break.

That's probably the most ridiculous thing said on the MSB this week. He didn't come 1/100000th near "picking up the ball", and you know that.

I don't blindly defend everything. You and some others here either don't understand the play he was trying to make, or are purposely ignoring that because it's more fun to believe he was just standing there out of laziness.

What are you talking about? He was obviously picking up the ball. Ariza had the basket.

Then I don't know what to call this, but it's just silly to try and defend his "effort"

He didn't try to make a play, what are you watching? He flailed his arm a bit, you call that "trying to make a play"? Like I said, 0% chance you're even being serious right now, no way I believe someone would honestly defend that play.

Ashton Kutcher is about to bust into my work office right now, I just know it!!!

Do guys normally "pick up the ball" by leaving 2 feet on the ground and not moving while everyone else runs down court? Yea, that's normal, flat footed, pick up the ball, good fundamentals!!!

Hm..well, he was standing there out of laziness...

The ball was blocked and recovered by the Knicks in the paint.

Instead of getting back like a normal guard would do he stood his ground and nonchalantly put his arm out to guard the point when the ball was clearly not with that player anymore.

In doing this the play turned into a three on one fast break that resulted in an "And 1"

How hard was he "trying"?

What kind of effort was he giving to try and take that foul?

What did you want him to do? It was a standard reach-in take foul.

He finished the game with 36, 6 and 6 scoring the last 12 points and lead his team to a win despite missing 3 starters, all while playing elite defense. This thread is pretty dumb, really.

Playing defense flat footed is standard? In what world?

Here's a thought, turn around and follow the play, you don't think that would have been a good idea? There were 2 HOU guys behind him AFTER the "standard defensive play" that were running down court, but you, for some reason, excuse his lack of effort to run down court.

ANd I'll ask again:

How hard was he "trying"?

What kind of effort was he giving to try and take that foul?

What does any of that have to do with the gif in question?

HE sees the torch being passed from Lebron to Harden and he's not happy about it one bit!
