This is reached the point of just sad. But if I'm going to out AP on blast for being a piece of shite abuser (and he is) then somebody needs to put these women on blast for sitting on this shite until it's a major media story. They're not much better at this point.

Perhaps you shouldn't be a parent if you're not sure whether AD crossed the line with his son.

My father spanked me as a child as well. Never close to the degree Peterson used, but I was spanked nonetheless. I don't have some agenda against spanking, but it is asinine that people want to equate the problems in this country with a lack of spanking.

There are some soft, immature, frick-up parents that do not discipline their children in any way, shape, or form, and there are some soft, immature, frick-up parents who beat their kids as well. Being pro/anti spanking doesn't make you a good parent.

I agree. Well said. There are layers of problems in these accusations.

I didn't notice the texts. How they had it set up it seemed like the news piece was trying to imply that peterson sent the picture with the band aids. If not, it is hardly a confession. Little boys get scars. It could be that this is just a another example in a line of abusive behavior by peterson, but it also might not be.

Peterson has had enough children with enough strange women to where now they would probably start coming out of the woodwork. Once the sensationalism gets started, people get caught up in it.

Goodell played you guys good.

Last week this time there was a countdown on his resignation. Some said he'd be gone withing the week.

Now no one even cares about what happened last week.

It's the ADD/twitter world we live in.

Nobody is arguing against discipline. They aren't arguing against spankings. They are arguing against a professional football player leaving scars and making his kids bleed as a result of said discipline.

Yes I know that everyone today is too sensitive and everything was better back in your day

Ain't that the truth.

"My father beat the shite out of me far worse than AD did to his child, so there is no reason AD should be in trouble for what he has done. This is the pussification of America

All I hear is "My father abused me, so I don't know how else to parent and Iit is easier to call others a pussy than admit the short-comings of my father."

If you're going to tell me you're too stupid to figure out how to discipline a child without hitting him, you're not fit to be a parent.

Man, do you have any idea how many parents are not fit to be a parent?

I have some happy, well adjusted kids that love both me and their mom and each of them were disciplined with spankings when they were younger. But, I am not fit.

Fine by me, but don't forget the major issue is that Peterson is allegedly beating his kids. That is the biggest problem. The mothers are a secondary issue.

Dad whips 4 y/o until he draws blood and you don't know if the dad went too far? Maybe you were beat too much in the head as a child.

But hey I'll play along for a bit..if it's a good form of discipline then why do we not do it with adults? Why don't we tie the men who, let's say, get arrested for selling drugs to a tree and crack a whip across their backs? If striking children with objects has such great outcomes, which is obviously supported by the drones of people who had to pick their own switch to get beat with, then why don't we take that same philosophy and use it in adults. I'm sure all those same people who were hit as children would support it since it works wonders for making everyone become outstanding men and women.
