Ewing was not as consistent as he should have been, but come on, Slo. Marc Gasol?

gasol is a better player at 30 than ewing was at 30. ewing had a higher usage but gasol doubles his assist%. gasol also has a higher true shooting % and lower turnover rate. basically ewing just got to shoot more and was much less efficient and did less overall on offense

No the idea that these guys would just eat Marc alive in the post is laughable and has no basis in reality.

Until you remember that Miami turned it up a notch in Game 7 and won by 30.

I'm not telling you he's good because he can dunk. I'm telling you he is good because of his defense and rebounding.

You love the strawman argument.

The only reason I brought up his dunking ability was to show what kind of athlete he is.

That was pertinent to the discussion when others were bringing up the superior athleticism of David Robinson and how he would abuse the centers of today.

I said not only is DeAndre a good defender, but he has the athleticism that could negate an athletic advantage Robinson would have on most players.

If scoring more is all he does than westbrook is in trouble in overall season stats compared to a magic or stockton...stock has more ast per and a higher fg percentage...stats go all around

2, and one was 25.0

gasol is not a scorer and wouldn't need to be one on this team. he's a defensive big and a facilitator on offense

why would this team need him to score 25? the same as his regular team. he's facilitating offense and helping out the other 4 guys, unless it's efficient to take a shot. again, the modern era is about efficiency, not pure usage

If you take his seasons from when he was 26-32, his prime, he averaged 25+ a game. Big deal that a lot of them were 24 something....

Marc is a good player. Ewing is one of the top 10 centers of all time. See the difference?

Still want Gasol next to AD, though. Thx!

Because it was dumb. If Gasol is so great why isn't he used more?
