But you're right, the NCAA needs to make a lot of changes

I say at least two years before going pro. But if an 18 year old can buy a beer and fly a $100 million aircraft to fight for our country then you cant stop them from making a living at what they are good enough to do.

I dont know any beer buying 18 year old fighter pilots...but the NBA is not a right. It's a private business. They can set their own bylaws.

It's ruining careers for immature kids. Some are leaving because they are sick of school, that's a terrible excuse. If you go undrafted and leave school because you are tired of classes means you might as well put in your application at McDonalds or learn a foreign language. Neither are fun.

Normal students don't get to drop out of college?

You can make a really good living playing overseas.

And you don't have to learn any languages if you choose, but it's also a lot easier to learn a language when you're surrounded by it everyday.

Why does everyone rip basketball players? No one gave a frick when Johnny Dishon left in 2010 for baseball. Nor does anyone care when any high school player skips college. Even when both are long shots to ever make the league.

Because there are so few selections in the NBA draft. And there's 500 in the MLB draft. And also players don't declare in baseball. You're just drafted. Not even close to the same situation.

Only 43 of these players played CBB last season. The rest come from overseas. Those overseas players have 3 different chances to enter the draft if they get passed over.

Over 90% of the players that left early from CBB will be drafted.

The NFL/CFB have much bigger issues with early entrants

I hope you don't believe the military should let 18 year olds fly jets too(because they don't).

That would make about 8% from UK alone.

Baseball has the perfect system to me. Everyone is eligible after HS and can go or stay as the desire. Then if you enroll in college, it is a 3 year commitment.

Why is it a big problem?

No one really knows.

But it sure is cool to talk about all the problems with CBB!

Right. So it would be like college baseball: A shitty product with little to no talent. Sounds awesome.

Let's not let facts get in the way of a good CBB hatin thread.

The NFL and NBA don't have the minor league infrastructure to pull this off
