Kind of. You ain't fooling anybody into thinking it's still the Big East without Syracuse, Pitt, UCONN, Louisville, and Cincy. It'd be a good conference but they'd lose a crap load of money just trying to keep the name.
As opposed to staying in the current BE and playing in a conference with UCF, Houston, SMU, Memphis, Tulane, Boise St, San Diego St and Temple??? Come on lol! Id rather be in a league with basketball schools like Butler, Creighton, VCU, Xavier, Dayton and UMass over those schools. Dissolving and rebranding is the BEST way to go. Its the only way they can control their own future stability. Why be at the mercy of the football schools?
