5A Championship Prediction thread: Ponchatoula Green Wave vs Zachary Broncos

It's obvious who I support just looking for comments from both sides and from the impartial who have seen both play. Just a little fun before Saturday when we turn the Dome Green!!!

For some reason, I'm way more confident about this game than I was for the last one. It just feels like we got over the hump by beating Acadiana, like the Colts beating the Patriots in the 2006 AFCCG or LSU beating Alabama in 2019.

Outside of my in-laws that are watching my kids that night, I don’t know many people that aren’t going Saturday night. Gonna be a blast.
Should be a good game - obvious to say both teams are talented and well coached. Zachary’s only a few years removed from 3 championships in 4 seasons. This is new ground for Ponchatoula.
I dont think Ponchatoula can afford to get down early like they did last week. I think they keep it close in the first half, win the 3rd quarter, and hold on in the 4th.

I think it will be a tight high scoring game. I don't see either team stopping each other much. It will come down to what team makes a mistake with a bad turnover similar to Ponchys game last week where the scoop and score really closed to door for Ponchy.

I'm pulling for the Wave. It's nice to see new blood in the Dome. This Ponchatoula team is loaded with talent. Let's see if their defense is up to the task of stopping Eli Holstein and the high-powered Zachary offense.
