It should definitely be 2 out of 3. Still, 3 games in 2 days isn't anything at all. 5 games a weekend is pretty common for a team worth a damn in travel ball and all of those kids have played travel ball.

would be epic. last time they faced in the championship, it was prob the best HS game ive ever seen in 1997. ANd of course they played 18 innings earlier this year.

maybe what's stopping that is that principals don't want teams to play on sundays if at all possible, and then they don't want the season going into june... also hotel stays are expensive

now the regionals could be just that, regional

using 5A this year as an example, top 8 seeds host as 1 seeds

then i'd take the bottom 8 playoff teams and put them where they'd go in the brackets as 4 seeds... teams 9-16 and 17-24 would go in based on geography. teams from the same district can play each other, but i'd want no more than 2 teams per district in any one regional
