Gibbs threw the entire game vs. Byrd....so I doubt it.
Byrd had probably 7-8 walks and a couple of hit batters. Jays are very well coached and don't make many mistakes.
Dutchtown lost a heartbreaker.......2 outs and Barbe had runners at 2nd and 3rd in Bottom 6th. A little flare to 2nd Base and the kid just threw it low to first...2 runs scored and D-Town leaves a runner stranded at 2B in Top of 7th to lose 2-1.
Rummel/Hahnville ended up being a good game and Sewell (commit to LSU)looked pretty good on the mound. You can def see the potential and Dunn will improve his mechanics once he gets to LSU. Nice velocity but threw too many balls for my liking (at times). He will be a good one though.
Weather ended up being wonderful after the 20min delay in the DTown/Barbe game 5th Inning and some great baseball.

Well, he did let him throw 193 pitches earlier in the year, so he obviously doesn't give a shite about the kid. Might not start him, but he probably comes in for relief today.

did you read the 24 hours part? the two teams that won earlier friday got all friday night to rest then play early saturday
then they get the majority of the afternoon to rest up before the final saturday night.
those few hours of rest make a difference. i realize all other teams have to win 3 in a short amount of time, but just not to that extent.
there should definitely be a 2 of 3. play one saturday night, then the other two (if necessary) on sunday

These kids grew up playing travel ball. They are used to playing a lot of games over 2 or 3 days.
