Not a great night for state schools as teams in action went 1-3 overall.

Louisiana Tech lost at UAB 70-79 in a wild one. There were many ejections and the Bulldogs had to finish the game with only four players. Read more about the game in this thread. The loss snaps a four game win streak for Tech and drops them to 6-2 in CUSA.

UNO stayed hot as they defeated McNeese by a score of 75-56 in New Orleans. UNO has now won three in a row and remains in first place in the Southland at 7-1. McNeese has now lost 5 of their last 6 and are now 3-5 in league play.

Nicholls lost on the road 80-83 to Houston Baptist. Nicholls have lost 5 of their last 6 as well and also stand at 3-5 in conference.

There are no games tonight, but everyone is in action tomorrow.

LSU (9-10) goes on the road for a non-conference match up with Texas Tech (14-6). Maybe a change from conference play will be what the Tigers need to get a win.

Tulane (1-7) makes the trek to the northeast to take on UConn (4-4). It's a long trip for Tulane and a tough place to play but you never know.

Louisiana Tech (6-2) stays on the road for a match up with Middle Tennessee (8-0). This is a big game for the Bulldogs as MTSU is the only undefeated team in CUSA. Louisiana Tech will look to bounce back from their loss in the bizarre game last night.

ULL (3-4) will host Little Rock (3-4) in the Cajundome. This is a rematch of a game played a couple of weeks ago in Little Rock where the Cajuns won 69-52.

ULM (0-7) will host Arkansas State (5-2). This is also a rematch of a game played earlier this year where Arkansas State beat the Warhawks by 31 in Jonesboro. The Warhawks will look to make it a better game this time around in Monroe.

Northwestern St (3-4) heads west to take on Lamar (4-4). The Demons look to be playing better ball lately as they have won their last 2 and three of their last four overall.

UNO (7-1) is also heading to Texas to square off with Stephen F. Austin (5-3). UNO has won three straight games and tries to make it four straight while remaining in first place in the conference.

Southeastern (5-3) is third state team heading to Texas this weekend as they travel to play Sam Houston St (6-2). Southeastern looks to bounce back from a loss last time out in a big game for them. A win would put the Lions in a tie for second place.

Nicholls (3-5) hosts McNeese (3-5) in Thibodaux. These teams have the same conference record, both have lost their last two games and both have lost 5 of their last 6 games overall. Something has to give tomorrow.

Southern (5-3) heads east to take on Alcorn St (5-3). This is a big SWAC showdown as the winner will find themselves in solo second place.

And finally we have Grambling (3-4) hosting Arkansas - Pine Bluff (4-3). Grambling hasn't played in a week but they won their last time out so the Tigers look to make it two straight wins.

Burdman, you remind me of a movie character. The former phils catcher calling cleveland games when charlie sheen had a fastball. Lsu going hundreds of miles to play a decent team is an unlikely prescription for a turnaround.

Very rough weekend for the state schools as they went 3-9 on Saturday.

ULL got a home win against Little Rock 88-82. Cajuns get back to .500 in Sun Belt play at 4-4.

ULM lost at home against Arkansas State 63-73. The Warhawks are still searching for their first Sun Belt win as they drop to 0-8 in league play.

Northwestern St lost on the road to Lamar 64-85. The Demons drop to 3-5 in league play.

UNO lost their second conference game as they lost at SFA 61-71. The Privateers are now 7-2 and in a tie for first place in the Southland.

Southeastern dropped a close one on the road 69-71 to Sam Houston State. The Lions drop to 5-4 in league play.

In an in stated match up, Nicholls beat McNeese 78-74 in Thibodaux. Nicholls is now 4-5 in conference while the loss drops McNeese to 3-6.

Southern lost at Alcorn St by a score of 64-74. The Jags drop to 5-4 in SWAC play.

Just trying to keep it positive.

Actually though, I just don't want people accusing me of being against any of the teams or whatever, so I just try to stay upbeat for the most part.

The fan was on the edge of his seat last night in Fant Ewing as the Warhawks got off the snide with a crushing defeat of Little Rock 68-52. Talons out, bitches.

Alright, there were three teams in action last night and they went 2-1 overall.

ULL lost at home to Arkansas State 69-88. The Cajuns defensive woes continue as they gave 60 points in the second half. ULL drops to 4-5 in Sun Belt play.

In happier news, how about 'dem Warhawks?? Huge win at home at as ULM took down Little Rock 68-52. ULM is now in the win column as they are 1-8 in conference play.

Also, Grambling got a home win over Mississippi Valley State by a score of 77-74. Grambling moves to 5-4 in SWAC play.

There's only one game involving a state school tonight and that's in New Orleans where Tulane (1-8) hosts Temple (2-7). I think tonight is the night that Tulane snaps a 5 game skid and gets their second conference win.

There are three games tonight involving state teams including an in state match up.

LSU (1-7) hosts South Carolina (7-1) in Baton Rouge tonight. This is going to be a tough match up for the Tigers as they try to get back into the win column.

UNO (7-2) heads west to take on Abilene Christian (2-7). The Privateers look to bounce back from a loss last time out and keep themselves in at least a tie for the top spot in conference.

Southeastern (5-4) hosts Nicholls (4-5) in Hammond. Southeastern looks to get things going in the right direction after dropping their last two games. Nicholls looks to start a streak after getting a win their last time out.

Tems in action went 1-3 overall last night.

LSU lost at home to South Carolina 63-88. Another performance that left something to be desired. This is LSU's eighth straight loss and drops them to 1-8 in SEC play.

UNO went down in OT against Abilene Christian by a score of 69-70. Privateers hit a three to send it into OT but couldn't pull it out in the extra period. The loss drops UNO to 7-3 in league play and at least temporarily knocks them out of first place.

Southeastern ended up handling Nicholls in Hammond by a score of 72-44. Nicholls actually had a one point lead at half time, but Southeastern outscored them 47-18 in the second half. The win improves the Lions record to 6-4 in conference while the loss drops the Colonels drop to 4-6 in Southland play.

There are three more games involving teams in the OP tonight.

Louisiana Tech (6-3) hosts Western Kentucky (5-4) tonight. The Bulldogs return home from a tough road trip last week where they lost both games. They look to get things going in the right direction back at home.

Northwestern St (3-5) travels north to face Central Arkansas (3-6). The Demons look to bounce back from a loss their last time out.

McNeese (3-6) travels to Texas to take on Incarnate Word (5-4). The Cowboys could really use a win as they have lost three straight and six of their last seven overall.

State teams went 2-1 overall last night.

Louisiana Tech bounced back from a tough week as they took down WKU 76-67 in Ruston. The win improves the Bulldogs to 7-3 in league play and places them in a tie for second place in CUSA.

Northwestern St lost on the road in a high scoring affair to Central Arkansas 97-107. This is the second straight loss for the Demons and drops them to 3-6 in conference play.

McNeese went on the road and got a win over Incarnate Word 87-79. This was a much needed win for the Cowboys as it snapped a three game losing streak and improved their record to 4-6 in conference.
