It's been fairly uneventful, but that was expected. A couple of abandons after the crash.
Just waiting for the sprint

Sagan pissed about 2nd, but honestly, he's outdoing Cavendish on a daily basis. That's impressive.

That was chaotic. Tony Martin likely done, that blows.

What happened to Martin, Nibali, and Quintana? I see where there was a crash, but not seen anything video wise or who caused the crash.

Froome is now yellow since Martin can not continue?

It was Martins fault, he clips the Europcar riders (Coquard?) back wheel and falls trying to lean into Barguil to stay up

Massive shame though, I could still imagine him riding til the first climb tomorrow purely because it's Tomy Martin

Sigh, favorite rider down with the broken collarbone. I really wanted to see if he could keep the yellow until after the TTT.

Tomy Martin?

I don't think anyone could or should ride with an open fracture on the collarbone

Well that was interesting. Nibali cracked on the final climb. Didn't lose much time but you definitely don't want to show that to the GC contenders

And oh yeah Sagan is ridiculous

Pinot behind Nibali. I know Thibaut is pissed off and all, but he's losing time every chance he gets it seems. Sagan finally gets his green, he was looking for another bonus to give himself a chance to wear yellow one day to start the Pyrenees. The race leaders will all show their cards stages 10-12 and there may be only 5 or so guys even in the race after that point. I think BMC can gain the necessary time to put Teejay in yellow. It will be close and I think there will be several teams who will share the responsibility the first day in the Pyrenees with the gaps so close for a handful of GC riders.

I also think BMC could have a good day tomorrow and maybe put TJVG in the jersey. Not sure about what kind of time gaps we'll see tomorrow, but we should get a sense of team strengths as of now. Strength tomorrow and strength in the mountains are two totally different animals. Should be a great battle for the next two weeks.

Tejay and BMC have ridden a near perfect race so far. I like their chance tomorrow but I'm holding out judgement on how Tejay will perform in the high mtns. We will see how he does on Tues, Wed, and Thurs. I hope he can do some damage.

I like Saxo tomorrow for 2 huge reasons

Sagan can get in 3 jerseys I believe
Contador and Basso aren't bad TT and it's not a short prologue type like stage 1

I think Sky gives up time Froome loses the yellow to Tejay or Sagan

The Pyrenees will be cutthroat the Tormulet i think is the key. If a chain slip happens nobody is waiting they didn't wait two years ago and Contador didn't wait for Schleck few years ago.
