Just by the number of championships, they don't compare at all. Plus, the league is more diluted now talent wise due to the six teams added between the final Bird/Parrish championship and the first and only 08-11 Celtics championship.

So no one gives this Celtics team a shot? I think there would be some awesome match-ups:
McHale vs. KG
Bird vs. PP
DJ vs. Rondo
Ainge/Hendo vs. Ray Allen
Parrish vs. Shaq/Perkins/Big Baby

80s Celts - 3 rings, 5 Finals appearances, countless Eastern Conference finals appearances.
This is probably the third best group of Celts you're ever gonna see...
Those 60s Celts were pretty good ya know.

My era was wrong, I meant 60s Celts.
Point stands they dominated their era like none other. You can't say that about this current set of Celtics.
Lakers and Spurs have a better argument for domination right now.

No shot in hell if played by the old rules. And the only match-ups that I think MIGHT be entertaining is Ainge/Shuttlesworth and McHale/KG.
