If they accomplished the required mission, in the P5 (P4 now?), they're in.

They may get throttled. But they EARNED it.

I don’t think there’s anyone who disagrees with this statement.

It’s not really a debate. Not a serious one at least.

The issue is “availability” is explicitly spelled out as a criteria for selection

FSU without Jordan is not one of the 4 best teams in the country. That’s all there is to it

Imagine if the committee left Ohio St out in 2014 because their starting QB was out.

Why would they deny a team that won their conference championship game 59-0 with a 3rd string QB? That’s a good team and worthy of #4

Jordan unfortunately IS FSU, and the field this year absolutely dwarfs 2014

It’s not the 4 most deserving teams. The committee has made that abundantly clear.

I think a one loss wash has a better argument than undefeated fsu
Look at the schedules

13-0 Florida state is in.

They were ranked 5th this week, but the committee knew that 2 & 3 were playing.

IF FSU wins tonight, they will be # 4 in the CFP with Ohio State # 5, Texas #6 and Oregon #7.

The committee should be based on objective data about what they have accomplished and not subjective beliefs about how good/bad they are going to be without Travis.

Also, a team is also more than just the skill of one player, even at QB

they would of been ok for this game, had they let their backup actually run the offense in blow outs.

instead he handed the ball of for 1 quarter or 2.

f'ing stupid to not let him come in and run the offense up 30, frick the other team, their job is to stop you, not you lay down and let them score late td's while all ur backup does is hand off

such a shame, fsu deserved a spot

They are going to get Cincinnati’d and get left out:

Michigan
Georgia
Washington/Oregon winner
Texas if they beat OU

It’s a committee, it’s literally subjective beliefs

The data they have is with Travis Jordan at QB. Applying data not reflective of current conditions is not how it’s supposed to work and more importantly is not consistent with the CFP criteria

The objective data of relevance that we do have points to a 11-0 team with 17 points through 53 minutes on a team with a terrible defense that’s not bowl eligible

They do not have an argument at all

Correct, and the team playing tonight looks like a joke and comically unfit for consideration

Gonna be kinda hard to beat them this year since they don’t play them again

For argument sake, what part of the record should be considered?

What if a team was like 4-4 and then rips off wins against 4 straight top 10 teams in dominant fashion once their all world QB returns from a preseason injury?
