Lots of smoke Raiola is flipping to Nebraska right after a family visit to UGA one week before he was supposed to move on campus. Nebraska also hosted Kyle McCord today who is exepected to join the Huskers any day now.

Huskers had the worst QB room in the country last year. Matt Rhule is trying to completely flip the script

McCord isn't going there if Raiola does, unless McCord's dad gets a promise that Kyle will be the starter for 2024.

Also, call it sour grapes, but high school kids that transfer (4 times?) and flip college commitments 3 times are usually problematic.

I don’t see how Raiola had a path to start at UGA next season. Mccords got one year left. I think the prospect of being the next QB after McCord graduates while getting paid buckoo bucks to sit and learn is a selling point though

He’ll be in the portal after playing too early and getting killed.

Possibly. That’s true of almost every QB it seems now with NIL and the portal. But dad is one of the most decorated players in Husker history and uncle is the current O Line coach at Nebraska

No shortage of red flags there.

McCord has one more year.

Raiola sitting his freshman year isn't the issue.

I'll call it.

He might be over rated but to think he "couldn't possibly" want to go to Nebraska without thinking about it is an awful take.

His family has history with Nebraska and they've been awful to the point legacies are questioning going there, but that doesn't mean it's rare.

Wasn’t dominic sort of a loose cannon? Not like Incognito but I remember hearing some stories about him.

I'm not talking about his going to Nebraska. I'm talking about guys (or their family/dad) that are never happy; It usually ends badly.

As was noted on the Alabama Recruiting Board earlier, this kid has bust written all over him. He's playing at his third high school in as many years and is about to commit to his third school despite no coaching changes having occurred at the first two.

I don't think Georgia is losing anything significant if this kid ends up signing somewhere else. They're better off letting him go and freeing up a spot for someone who will actually do some good for them.

I get that aspect, but it's not like Nebraska was ever out of the running for his commitment. They just sucked enough that he was looking elsewhere.

Rhule has them pointed in the right direction. It's obvious they need a quarterback more than anything.

And if I'm Nebraska, I'm 100% taking this kid if he wants to go there.

Not my point.
