My wife wants me to get tickets to take her dad to a round or practice round next year. How does one go about obtaining tickets/passes for entry?

There is a lottery. You have a fairly good chance of getting tickets. Have all your friends apply as well. One of my buddies was chosen twice.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I just skipped most of the Tiger controversy. Slept through it.
It's more fun to have the people who appreciate the game rather than all of the MSB.
On a positive note, think my girlfriend likes watching golf now. She was getting into it. And the Braves this weekend.
