I'm just beginning to learn about stock trading. This company intrigues me and I want to hear what anyone thinks about the company in general and as an investment.

While Energous isn't the only startup trying to crack wireless power, it may be the only company that can deliver a working product for production in the next two years.
Essentially, WattUp sends focused signals on the same frequency as Wi-Fi. A chip connected to a small device captures those signals and converts them into power. It's safe, which is important as it and its partner companies attempt to secure FCC approval.
The company uBeam, for example, is often considered a close competitor, but its ultrasound technology is firmly in the prototyping stage, as physicists and experts question whether its wireless charging is even physically possible.
Another potential competitor, Witricity, uses technology that is an enhancement of the current magnetic-field-based approach used in phones like Samsung’s Galaxy S7, and counts Intel as an investor. However, its approach seems like a much better fit for electric cars or laptops, and not phones. Plus, its range tops out at only a few feet.
Energous has been giving full demos of its technology for the past two years, and it appears to work just fine. CEO Stephen Rizzone said that it's already shipped development kits to partners. According to the company, its wireless-charging system is about 70% efficient already and still improving.

You can probably say that about the great majority of microcap stocks, but at least there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

No, did you?
I bought in at $6.15 on Friday. I had a limit order to sell at $7.00. As soon as I signed in this morning (Around 8:50), it had already sold at $7.51. High today was $8.28.
Before that, I had bought in at $5.71 on 02/04/16, and sold at $7.55 on 02/25.
I'm basically just gambling, but I do understand to buy low sell high.

That's not how this thread was supposed to work. I came here for the lessons.

It'd be nice if they'd disclose a bit more on their one and only development agreement, particularly around the milestone payments and timing. If that agreement doesn't kick in serious cash in soon, the company will tap the market with more secondary offerings (already two since ipo) that will continue to drag on share price.

Yeah, right now it's just a ton of speculation. But at least they've shown that it works and it seems like they have their shite together.

As a general rule, are secondary offerings a net negative for existing stock holders?

We could see another dip below $8?

Anything's possible considering they have yet to turn a profit and are still awaiting FCC approval. Some people say it's just a matter of time before this company really takes off, others are highly skeptical. So who knows. I'm certainly no expert. WATT did drop 51% in a 2 week span at the beginning of this year, so it has happened before and recently.

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - May 25, 2016) - Energous Corporation...today announced FCC approval of the Miniature WattUp transmitter reference design. The approval enables the immediate adoption of the WattUp technology for verticals such as wearables, Internet of Things ("IoT") and other electronic devices.

Since that announcement on May 25th, the stock rose 9.44% and closed yesterday at $11.36.
This company is fascinating. I read articles saying this stock is going to skyrocket, and others that say it will go to 0. Read this article and comments section to get a taste of what I'm talking about. I don't know what to think; it seems like both sides have merit. Definitely not buying now when it's 5.8% off its 52 week high of $12.06 and 211% off its 52 week low of $3.65.

Another Seeking Alpha article; this author basically says that that WattUP Mini will take about 10 hours to recharge a small fitness device (device smaller than a phone). Also, the author states that the wireless charging would interfere with WiFi. Again, no clue if this is legit, but it's interesting discussion.
If I had the inclination to short stocks, which I don't, I think now would be as good time as any to short one. I bet WATT heads back to sub $10 over the next week or two for a ~23% ROI opportunity.
WATT's YTD chart is just sick.
