Where should I get my wife car insurance?

We want cheap, but still decent. There are so many damn options now. We just bought her a new Mazda CX-5, if that matters. She has no tickets...ever, but totaled a car in bad weather 5 years ago.
FTR, mine is through my father's work so this will be independent of that.

Do you have homeowners with anyone or renters?
Most places have multipolicy discounts.
If not, I'd recommend USAA if you have access, or maybe progressive.
I had geico when I was in college and never had a problem, but I only filed one claim over that period.

We have renters and access USAA through her dad.
I'll check out those and Geico. Thanks

USAA is pretty great because you'll get a check from them at the end of the year. Last year we got back like 5% of our premiums.

I have mine through Geico.
Over Thanksgiving, a 20 year old rear ended me on the interstate going full speed--traffic was slowing and she was messing with her contact and didn't see. I called Geico immediately after, even though her insurance was paying for it, and they took care of the entire process for me. It was as seamless as that situation can be.
Additionally, my rates have always been significantly lower when quoting around for whatever reason.

I just quoted Geico and it would save me over 350$ over State Farm. Does Geico let you choose the body shop for repairs?

You can use whomever you want I'm pretty sure
However they will only pay you for what their estimator/adjuster decides

Pretty sure it's a state law that all of them have to let you pick your own body shop.

Yeah they let you choose your own.

I guess I have to play nice.
You should never drive without 300/500 limits

shopping prices with different companies is fine but don't get cheap on the coverage. And get UM coverage.

I just saved a decent amount by switching from progressive to geico. I've never filed a claim with either, but both companies have easy to use web interface to bind coverage and good customer service from the call center.

Got a solid deal with Geico. Got very comprehensive coverage and definitely UM coverage.
My wife is a horrid driver. Its only a matter of time until she is instagramming and rear ends a Bentley.

On my 2011 F150, Geico was by far the cheapest option, with good coverage. I kept them as my insurer on my 2011 F250 until last week. I shopped around and found that they were $480 higher than State Farm and State Farm upped my property coverage too.
I do not have any other policies with either company.
It clearly pays to shop around for each vehicle and try to bundle when you can.

250/500/250. That is good coverage.
