I'm a first time home buyer with a credit score of 745, and the lender is offering me 3.625% interest rate with a 3.8% APR 30 year. For all the homeowners, are those good rates for me; what are some of the rates you locked in? TIA

Got the exact same rate in March at 3.625% on a 30 year. Historically low rate that I lucked out on with the timing. Jump on it.

I refinanced in 2012 for 3.375% on a 15 yr mortgage.

Historically speaking, its almost impossible to get a bad interest rate these past few years with a good credit score.

I'm in the market and just beginning my search for a lender. Who are you guys getting these rates from? OP, you can answer this as well if you don't mind.

USAA is who I went with, and I'm glad to know I got a great interest rate. I caveat that with, USAA has the best service I've ever dealt with but there mortgage service sucks, probably because they resource out there mortgage service. And by suck, I mean there representatives seem incompetent at times and there's hardly any bargaining with them.

4.25 30 year fixed, June of 2014. Had a couple dings on my credit from back in college that prevented me from the best rates, but I am happy with it.

i am at 5% on a 30. this was back in 2009. Doesn't make sense to refinance because of how little we still owe.
