Go to Starbucks and look in the 'yesterday's' papers bin. It's free. I read it every day. Great newspaper.

this.
Its totally not worth it. I used to have a subscription through grad school and afterwards. I liked reading it, but you can get almost all the stuff online for free.
Plus who reads a paper still? I mean zach does. but who else?
I will buy one before a plain ride, as it will occupy me for an hour or two and is pretty cheap. Plus educational.

Hillary Clinton turned a $1,000 initial investment into nearly $100,000 in ten months by trading cattle futures when Bill was governor of Arkansas just because she "read the WSJ her daddy brought home from work when she was a little girl."
Just think how much money you could make by reading it as a college student!

Isn't there always that annoying key that asks you to purchase a subscription for certain articles when you just google it?

I read once a month or so. Probably the best rag ever. It's just way too much info for a normal human brain to digest on a daily basis.

If you're committed to reading it on a regular basis, then it's worth it.

I get it on my patio every morning. I love it

Thanks to advice from this board, I joined audible.com (I like audio books) and got their discount rate for a daily abridged audio version of the journal. I listen for about 40 minutes each business day, usually when driving or getting other work done. I never watch TV news. It's probably taken me from genius to super-genius. I also spent a whole lotta time teaching myself basic economics and finance before getting the journal, so I can now actually understand what they're talking about.

I think it's $12 for 12 weeks. Also get online access. Definitely worth it if you're trying to get a job in finance.

You can lose your arse in ag futures a lot quicker than you can make a profit

They're the best in the business. Op-ed section is must read material. The weekend journal is not up to the NYT standards, but everything else is better.
Student discount is great, or you can look into sharing the physical & online version with a friend.

You're losing money if you're going out of your way to Starbucks, or if you end up buying coffee.

Is it always 12 weeks for $12 when you're a student, or does it increase after the 12 weeks?
Posted on 9/26/15 at 5:03 pm to TheOcean
That is their trial subscription, after that it goes up to $1/day unless you cancel

When I was at LSU, they had free copies of WSJ and NYT in CEBA.
