Wonder why they are using a skid rig for a single well pad then. That will likely drive their costs up some.

Do you happen to know the lease name of the well? Just curious as to who is operating it. There's only one well currently permitted in E. Feliciana and it's the Beech Grove 94H

this rig is designed to drill multiple wells on a single pad.

Probably had it on contract on their Eagleford properties if this is Goodrich.

But who is the operator? Nabors is just a drilling rig contractor.

It has to be Goodrich per Sonris.

In aware of that. That's why I asked why they would be using a rig capable of skidding over multiple wells for a single well pad. Skid rigs command a higher day rate.

Id love to know why so many places that the drilling has occurred or is being planned is on land owned by people who are already wealthy. Are these land owners paying for their percentage of the well?

Wealthy people tend to own large tracts of land. I highly doubt these publicly traded companies are letting landowners participate.

While this is true, i doubt they all own large tracts that just so happen to be in the best areas to drill. What makes the 600 a half mile away more attractive than my 300. Or Max Lawson's (county supervisor) 500 acres more attractive than the other 500 acres.

Maybe the better question is, how do these companies decide where to drill. Im sure they look at data from the geologist that tells them the best spots.
