From what Ive read is they are on the fringe and will be drilling deeper.

As far as PCP, Im not real sure if it will ever get any attention as far as the TMS. Things will have to be above and beyond what they hope for in the core area for them to explore there.

I posted this in a thread a few weeks ago. Some of you may have seen it already. Since 2007, there have been 21 TMS wells drilled in Louisiana, 19 of which were productive. The average initial rates reported to the DNR are +/- 250 BOPD, much less than initially suspected. There are currently 3 more permitted.

Anyone know anything about the state of Hilcorp Energy and their work in the trend?
As far as I know, they're not a player in the TMS

That seems awfully low. Also, where are the wells Devon drilled? Are they under another operator ?

That's initial test data directly reported to the State.

Devon never operated TMS wells in Louisiana or Mississippi as far as I know

I just thought a lot more than 21 wells had been drilled. Maybe they haven't completed yet. Actually, there could be a lot in Mississippi (although I know Devon was drilling in LA)

Devon did the Murphy well in West Feliciana.

Majority of the TMS wells have been drilled in Ms. Ms offered great incintives to the companies such as 1600 acre units and forced pooling with 400% penalties.

The Devon wells were sold to Goodrich. They are listed in green above. They are the Weyerhaeuser 14, Weyerhaeuser 72, beech grove, Richland farms, Murphy, Soterra, and Thomas. I bet Devon wishes they had that 100 million back. Some of the wells are really struggling just a few months after being drilled and none will come close to payout.

I guess it's a well that has been drilled but hasn't been put on production yet

Pre-production wells are those that are permitted, drilling, completing or shut-in

I don't know why all these articles talk about horizontal drilling like it is some new phenomenon. It has been around over 20 years.
