Be a teacher, work 180 days a year, change lives, make a little money, travel during the summer, and you will always have a job because we have a shortage of qualified teachers in the US

Been looking for a new gig in Dallas for a couple of months. Had several interviews where I went back a second or third time and get the call saying the 'company decided to go in another direction'.
Frustrating. I'm typically a confident guy, but it's starting to take a toll getting passed over numerous times.

In y'alls opinion, which city has a better market for accounting/ finance jobs. Pensacola or Mobile?
I know Pensacola is the clear choice for beach stuff, no state income tax, and all that but I'm strictly asking about jobs

A few of my friends went into accounting types of jobs around there. I would guess that Pensacola probably has the edge due to the U.S. Navy presence, along with associated defense contractors. I know another friend who worked in industrial engineering at a naval shipyard in Pascagoula. Mobile has some stuff going on, like a steel processing facility from ThyssenKrupp nearby, but probably a little less accounting jobs than the Gulf Coast around MS or FL. As for finance, I don't know... there's probably not a whole lot of corporate finance in that area, maybe stuff is available for personal advisers.

Looked into the military contractors jobs and the screening process for them is so intensive I would be disqualified for a couple of different reasons. I won't go into specifics as to why but it's not happening
