And why so far down from $22.43?

The whole sector getting pounded?

Who is the XOM of coal? I have zero knowledge of the coal industry, but if the OP is accurate in his description of the company, it is intriguing.

Then why isnt the market seeing what you see?

Ask "the market".

All I can do is look at the facts and they are easy to see. From every valuation ratio this stock is cheap. The competitive advantages CLD has are clear.

I can't predict the future but I can see this is like buying a dollar for a quarter.

I encourage anyone considering the stock to do their own research. Start by reading their 10-K and recent 10-Qs and look at available research on line. You can see those at the SEC Edgar website for free.

Yahoo has very good information from Capital IQ under their stock "key statistics" tab that will save you some computations.

Information is so easy to assemble now any one can do their own research.

Well I'm glad I didn't buy when you suggested. But perhaps its at the bottom, now?

from a chart perspective, CLD is very bearish.
Maybe it found the bottom, but the trend favors shorters.
In this case, the trend isnt your friend if you're going long.
Maybe Im wrong, but there are plenty of other stocks out there in the energy sector.
