What does the MB think an OK salary for a President of a $4 million company should be? No debt, approximately 14 employees and making 60% margin.

Edit - Sorry for lack of details. Company is $4m gross with about 12 employees. Not sure what Net Profits are but I would assume they will be around $2.5-$3m.

It's not a math problem - consult a salary guide or a head hunter for the market rate

If I'm the President of the company, every dollar I can get!!

4 million of what? Market value, revenue, net profit, etc?

Is that 60 percent before admin and overhead?

Either I'm in the wrong business or you need to rethink your estimates.

$3M in earnings on $4M in revenue?

It's not my business so I don't have 100% of the information. Not sure what the materials cost, salaries, insurance.... i'm going off straight assumptions. It's a very well-run company with no debt so earnings are probably not going to be as high as $3m but maybe towards $1.5-$2m.

There are plenty of guys here who can give you much better info than I can, but $1.5 - 2M in earnings on $4M in Revenue is still an extremely high net profit margin.

What are the presidents responsibilities? Is he/she the only shareholder?

I'm not worried about what the president is making, I'd like to know the industry that is providing a 50% margin. That's where I need to be.

President/CEO salary depends on many things like the industry, the role he plays in the company, experience, and location.

if the president is the owner, then what ever is left over at the end of the year on the budget sheet

Are you sure the 60% margins are accurate?

I would think $250-300k max for a company doing 4 mill in business. Overhead, insurance etc eat that revenue up quick.
