Have a rental condo near LSU I'm having trouble getting renters for this time around. Considering using property management company to find renters and deal with the rest of it since time is limited these days with work and kids. Any recommendations for companies anybody has experience with?

Friends of our use/used Lewis Companies and were happy with them from what I gathered. I think they may have dropped it when their own daughter moved into the condo and they didn't need to worry about keeping it rented.

tom mackey is also a possibility

edit: expect a management company to take longer in general than if you just listed it on Craigslist and showed it for a few weeks.

Thanks. Already considering Lewis companies because they handle the entire property. I'll check out Mackey. I've already posted on Craigslist a couple times without much interest so that's not getting it right now. I have until August to get it done.

Lewis and Latter & Blum are most popular ones. Some charge 10% fee per month and half of the deposit. Some may charge only 7%, not sure though.

Southland properties have done a good job for me in the past.

List it on Trulia. It was free i believe, and I got a really great set of people who requested viewings.

Try listing on postlets.com and it will push it to lots of sites.

I manage rental peoperties all around lsu. 20 or so. I charge half the first months rent and then 8% every month after that. Based on a 1 year lease.

Not sure I can put my info on here though.
