I think it just has to be postmarked for today.
Should send it in pennies . . . with a note "copper from recycled IRS hard drives."

My property taxes are about 3 grand more than what I'd pay for the same house in Nola......still doesn't make up for the 6% i'm saving on my income.

On the other hand, I wish every taxpayer had to write a check 4 times a year just to make it more painful and perhaps wake some people up.

Them raping my not so big check at about a 25% clip 24 times a year isn't enough?

People are ingrained to just accept that. If they actually had to write the check each quarter, they'd flip shite.

I suppose that with direct deposit a lot of people don't even look at their check stubs.

My last job didn't offer to send me a pay stub and that kinda bothered me. I like knowing exactly what I'm getting paid.

But its sick man. Thinking about it, I work about I work about 14 hours a week for the govt.

Doesn't matter. If you got paid 100% of your earnings and then had to write a check to the IRS every 3 months, people would be attacking Washington with pitchforks.

If taxpayers are too lazy to comprehend what they pay annually from their Fed and State filings then there is no helping them. Timing of payments doesn't really matter in that regard. Most dumbshits, if allowed to pay wage taxes out of their own account, would not have the money to pay quarterly to the IRS as they would have spent it all and we would be floating them as well.

This is why we have the pay as you go system. If everyone was allowed to pay quarterly, tax compliance would go way DOWN.
