So just found I will be going to Vegas in March for a conference and have the opportunity to pay for everything with my cc and get reimbursed. I'll be paying for one other person as well, so I'm looking at easily over $6000 with conference costs, hotel, and air travel. Looks like its time for a new cc

Got it and have been using the shite out of it

Very nice card with some bulk to it.

I actually went and did a price match this weekend that I had no interest financing on. Instead of just matching on the same card, I had them return it and then recharge on the sapphire at the lower cost. That way I got points on the Sapphire and then was also able to get loyalty points since I wasn't using financing from the retailer

at the credit card erections.

Now when you look like shite in public and everyone thinks you're poor you can drop this boomstick out there. At least that's what I imagine happens in their minds.

Luuucky. My CVS that had good stock that I've been using for three months ran out. Going to check some while I do work stuff tomorrow. I hope they don't take forever to restock.

This might be a dumb question but I have a Chase freedom card now and would like to get the sapphire preferred for the 45000 point bonus they are offering. Do those points go into the same pool as my freedom points? I would probably cancel the card before the fee kicks in but I want to make sure I can keep those points and add them to my freedom pile after canceling.

Ya you can combine them within your Chase account. Ie transfer the points "onto" one card or the other at will.

However, most people move the points to the Sapphire Preferred for travel purposes, not vice versa, FYI.

Good deal. Found a CVS in BR that had a full stock if you fail to find some and need your fix. I'll hook you up

You need the ink plus.
$5k ink plus monthly at Office Depot to Visa prepaids.
$5k at CVS to VRs paying via visa prepaids.
VRs to bluebird
Profit.

Not my real strategy as I'm going to spread them out between cards, but once I get the wife's bluebird in, it will be close to that.

Ya I've been putting the pieces together to go for that soon. I haven't gotten a chase card since May and got Amex SPG last month so I'll probably give it a shot sometime soon in 2014.

I'll start wrecking shite then. My fiancee is going to hate carrying another card around but it won't be that bad.

Sounds like they are buying gift cards with each paycheck and earning points, then dumping the gift cards into their bluebird checking account? I have a coworker who does that here to build points and get a $1 off a gallon of gas every fill up.

Also helps if you have to spend a certain amount per year on your card, you can make it happen this way.

Business card that gets you 5x points at office retail stores like Staples or Office Depot

Vanilla Reloadable prepaid card, a prepaid card that has the unique feature of having a pin and other things. Features of the card allow you to put the money on the VR onto a bluebird checking account through walmart.

You can than pay off your credit card using the bluebird account I believe

Any reason to do this at CVS or just need to find a place with VRs?

Which Office Depot is that? I hit the VR's there hard in 2012, but I haven't had any luck using a CC to buy gift cards at an office depot since then. Admittedly, I quit trying after I was denied a couple times a little while ago.
