New Orleans sucks. This is an easy decision.

Dallas has some aboslute wasteland suburbs and exurbs, so that's either your thing or you'll have spend a little more to get into a more prime community

Which major city doesn't have "wasteland" suburbs?
Posted on 5/1/17 at 2:55 pm to Paul Allen
To me, the dfw metroplex seems to be more like a collection of such areas, and less an actual city. Once you get outside the small core of "Dallas" there is very little.

True. Places like McKinney and Allen in particular.

I was in Keller a few months ago. You couldn't pay me to live there. Grand prarie is awful too.

Not much different than choosing to live in New Orleans vs Metaire, Kenner, or the Northshore. You'll get a different feel from place to place.
We have strong opinions on working with anyone in Ft. Worth. Ft. Worth is known for being more relaxed and informal and that plays into decisions we make when we deal with anyone based in Ft. Worth

As I said... if money is the most important thing, Dallas wins and it's not even close.

You also have to consider that the affluent neighborhoods in Dallas aren't part of Dallas County school districts, which makes a huge different if you decide to live in Dallas. Lake Highlands is part of Richardson ISD and Highland Park has its own school district.

So crime isn't a problem in New Orleans?
Come on. New Orleans has a very pronounced crime problem and it affects quality of life, even if it isn't very likely that you'll get murdered yourself.
I know people who've gotten robbed at gunpoint in the middle of the day in down town in New Orleans. That's a lot less likely to happen in most other places.
I never felt unsafe in New Orleans, but the crime was always something that you had to be vigilant about.

Dallas FW area, she would get an area position with her company. Work from home 2x a week and float between 8 locations the rest of the time.

So will you be a stay at home beauty queen?
