Whoa...who said that?

The post I quoted was the first I'd seen it suggested. I can neither confirm nor refute.

Per LinkedIn, he's launching his new strategy company 07/01/2016, FWIW. No mention of leaving LSUS though.

If only taking one course, which one would more manageable:

ISDS 701 with Binshan Lin
MADM 720 with Sibylle Mabry

Also for MADM (Strategic Manegement of Human Capital)
Woould you recommend Menon Sanjay or a new professor called Kenneth Kungu (Assitant Professor at Tennessee State University according to Google)? He has a PhD in Human Resource and Leadership Development from Louisiana State University.

Haven't taken ISDS yet. Saving it for last class since I've heard it's really difficult.

MADM 720 I took with FIN 701 and made a B. It was annoyingly time consuming and the grading didn't make a lick of sense.

Of those two, I'd take MADM 720 solo. There's a lot of reading.

I took Sanjay for MADM 701. Got an A so its hard to advise against taking him.

Let me just say this thread is a saving grace. But question between 2 classes. I'm trying to decide between MKT 701 with James and MADM 760 with Meeks. Thoughts? I know it's been stated that MKT is time consuming but how about MADM?

Honest question: Does LSUS not have a message board where students can talk?

I had no idea how many LSUS MBA students are on the MTB

I didn't take much away from MKT 701 especially for the amount of content. I'd choose MADM 760 but I suppose it depends largely on your career path. Take whatever will address your weaknesses.

I'll have to take both due to it being in the curriculum for the Finance concentration but as of now I'm leaning towards the MKT 701 course. This would be during Fall A.

Wasn't too bad. Work his examples until you grasp concept and do all the practice problems he assigns. Exams pretty clearly state which method should be used, so I used a color system for quick reference. On every example and practice, I wrote the method and numbered steps in red ink, useful notes in blue, and worked in black. I want to say the final was cumulative so I transferred most of my notebook to Excel for search function. I can't recommend using Excel enough for creating exam guides for all courses.

As Paul Allen mentioned, MADM 720 is a time consuming because of the amount of reading and how the work is graded. All the written assignments are graded on grammar, content, citations and overall value. You might get 100 on one assignment and get a 70 on another, no real difference between the two. Dr. Mabry uses Grad Assistants and they make the point to be tough and nit pick your work. The 3 tests are 15 to 20 questions each, timed with less than a minute per question. You have to study. Answers are not verbatim in the book, you have to approximate-relate.

MADM 701 is all reading and three tests. The first is non-proctored, the last two and the final are proctored by an online service and webcam.

MKT 701 is ok if you have a mind for marketing. If not, you might have a huge issue with the concepts.
