and he has put a bill in to block this administration from getting the second $350 Million in bailout money. He wants it blocked and doesn't want to allow this kind of bailout until there are rules in place and accountability. It really sounds like he was pretty sickened by how the rules on who get money and how has changed week to week.

Does this bill have a chance of passing or is it just going to be business and usual and the politicians will not be standing up for the people?

Sounds like Vitter needs to relax with one of his female friends.

I am sure he is doing plenty of that, but I am proud that with all of the BS stuff he has been talking about lately, this one seems like a good idea to get behind.

Is anyone really a laughing stock in Washington, I mean on a relative basis? How can that group of half-wits and B teamers laugh at anyone? Seriously? Is what he did any worse than, say, Ted Kennedy? He's the lion of the Senate and I can't think of a bigger joke than that guy. I'm asking this as a serious question because I don't follow inside the beltway gossip.

Ya, politicians with dalliances can't be effective.

No, it honestly just shows how unbelievably ridiculous how much money is truly being thrown at 'solving' this problem.

$350 million used to be staggering amount of money..now its a typo.

well, at least this bill has some real substance unlike the usual bullshite he wastes his time on. I agree with him on this issue, but no way it passes.

I also heard on the radio that Vitter was the only Senator to vote against confirming Clinton for SOS...

I may have heard this incorrectly however.

It seems that Vitter has decided that the only way he can get redemption is to become the champion of the hard right. It's too bad more republicans don't pick up that mantle.

there will be some hard talk but in the end all it will be is talk, no way the bill will pass. this is all just a move by DV to shore up republican support in the state before his capaign, to keep anyone from challenging him on the republican side of the fence.

I just hope he has decent opposition next election. I don't like him.

Do you hope he has decent opposition from the GOP or the Dems?
