Correct. There are some exceptions which have to do with early distributions from the Roth but I don't feel like looking those up now.

Here is a quote from an analysis of NRT done by someone analyzing high dividend stocks: "However, we would only advise investors willing to taking on extra risk to consider this play."

Five high dividend stocks analyzed

I don't think that stock fits my risk profile, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I have no clue about BGCP but Jim Cramer just had their CEO on and asked how safe their ~10% dividend was and he was pretty upbeat. Wouldn't you get sued if you said your div was safe to the public and then reduced it shortly there after?

Well, did GE get sued when Immelt said the dividend was safe in 2008? Couple months later, boom. I do not recall a lawsuit but plenty of PO'd investors.

CHKM looks good.

This seems like a great portfolio for some MLPs.

I just did a quick Yahoo finance research on that enterprise and it does look interesting. I see the company is only 4 years old and its operating margin is out of sight.

What else do you know about them? Are they a real partnership, which means they distribute a K-1 for tax reporting purposes?

Not much.

I'll tattle on myself. I actually just saw them on Mad Money last night and did a quick scan of the numbers, then posted it here hoping some other people would drop some knowledge on it.

I'm willing to bet KFizz could enlighten all of us.

CHKM is closely related to CHK, so being young isn't necessarily what it seems on face.

CHKM is basically CHK operations I believe. I do 3rd party servicing work for CHK and we deal with about 4-5 different companies that CHK started or acquired such as CHKM, Great Plains, Nomac, etc.

As it is closely related to CHK, I'll tell you what I see in the field and that is a lot of cost cutting measures (not a bad thing) after the recent natural gas price trends and a move towards drilling more oil than anything. Some say the move to oil starting happening last year before natural gas prices went further down.

I follow CHK closely (do not own any) and CHK is currently trying to unload about 2 billion worth of assets in the permian (I believe west TX and NM) for cash flow. Also, there are numerous people 'analyst' who say the stock (CHK) is undervalued just based on assets alone.

Anyway, that's just my little bit to offer.
