I'm curious what the big mover in the Dow was today...

I know it's not really worth tracking the Dow, but this shite is getting parabolic. Crazy

It tanked at the end of the Bush years, then grew like crazy during Obama's terms.

If Trump can keep on the Obama plan, we'll be rich.

Do you mean the plan where the U.S. GDP for the first time in history for a two-term President did not grow by at least 2% in any of the President's 8 years?

I'm hearing we have another 12-18 months of growth, then we should expect a downturn in the 18-24 month range.

Man, I wish I could hire you as my financial advisor if you have that kind of knowledge.

I hope you aren't insinuating that the media is not 100% truthful, unbiased, and able to predict the future.

If that's the plan that makes my retirment account double, which it did under Barry after taking a huge hit in the last Bush year, then yes, that plan is great.

I really don't think who the prez is has much to do with that, but I enjoy watching people being inconsistent on the issue. No one gives Obama credit for gains under his time, but watch them scramble to praise Trump for boosting the market .. even while Obama is still in office.

It's interesting to say the least. For a well diversified 60/40 portfolio with domestic and international bonds you're probably sitting at a 5-6% return this year. Diversification has been vastly underperforming the past 6 years or so.

Can confirm. It's required a tremendous amount of self control to stay the course and not shift a large percentage of my foreign equity holdings to domestic.

The ECB's announcement to continue QE at $60Billion a month is positive for stocks. They keep printing and buying and eventually will own all assets in the world. Take a look at Japan. The central bank there owns 60% of ETfs. The U.S. and Europe are just trying to catch up.

You don't need a high priced financial advisor to see the writing on the wall. We are nearing the end of economic cycle.

If you think that this rally is going to continue unfettered for the duration of the Trump Presidency, then you have no room to be laughing at me.

What is "the media" exactly? I didn't get the impression Fox News was predicting doom and gloom with Trump.

be patient.

Trump is not in office. None of his wishes came true.

For example, he said we should have a 35% tariff on China.
GOP leadership said, "no, that is not happening".
