Never look at averages in regards to the stock market..it doesn't tell the real story of how your money moves

PP, I set my acct up a couple weeks ago and its easy as hell. Like they said, vanguard is the way to go.

if you had $100k+ to invest, I'd highly recommend going to Personal Capital to manage your IRA.

If you don't have that, ask around and see if anyone has a local guy they like that doesn't have any minimum starting points.

I like vanguard funds as much as the next guy but if you are going to get serious about it, a well diversified portfolio is a must IMO.
